Tim Durkin

Meet The Candidate

Tim_Durkin_Bio.jpgTim was born and raised in Tyendinaga Township by Ross and Lori Durkin. He has spent the majority of his life living within 30 minutes of the Bay of Quinte. He has a deep appreciation for not only the advantages of the Quinte region, but its challenges as well.

Tim his wife Jennifer, and their daughter Elizabeth are residents of Quinte West.

Over his 15 year broadcasting career Tim has become intimately familiar with Quinte resident’s wants, needs and aspirations.

His Grandfather, Father-in-law and cousin were proud to serve in the military and through this personal connection, Tim knows how vital the armed forces are to the freedoms we enjoy every day.  He also appreciates that CFB Trenton is the largest economic driver, and employer in the area.  He knows how important it is to commit to a strong military and, once promises are made, to actually deliver on those promises.

IMG_1948.JPGDue to both its urban and rural communities, Bay of Quinte residents need sustainability and support in business and agriculture, affordable taxes, and a government that understands the needs of a diverse region.  Canadians should not have to battle their own government while coping with a competitive marketplace, and the stresses of daily life.

Work ethic, commitment to the community, ability to work collaboratively and the ability to listen, are the tools that Tim has that will contribute to being a passionate, effective voice in Ottawa.
